New Vision New Life!

Part 1
For starters let’s go to…(Jeremiah
29:11
God has good thoughts toward you! Good thoughts toward us. Good thoughts toward FCVC. Good thoughts toward our community!
We can cooperate with Him when we bless our community. (Proverbs
11:11NKJT) “By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.”
God is thinking about you. You are on His mind! You are in His thoughts and He has good thoughts and plans for your future, for your life.
In Him there is hope! He is our blessed hope!
God has a vision and plan for your life! Plans for good, a
future and hope!
It’s time that we believe it and time we live it. (II Cor.5:7NKJT)
We must diligently
contend for His vision over us.
It will take focus, energy, holy amnesia (forgetting what’s behind us) and forward
thinking and looking. (Phil.3:13
It’s time to focus. Time to live a focused life!
Paul was focusing on the goal. No more excuses and no more distractions. No more living in the past, only looking forward to what lies ahead. Focusing on the goal.
As a church family our vision is to Build the church…..win our city….change the world! We have vision, mission and purpose!
God wants to give you……
1. New vision for your future
Jesus is the only one
who can give sight, restore sight! (Mark
8.22-26
.Compassionate people brought the man to Jesus so that He might be healed. They had faith to believe that Jesus could heal his eyes to see. Jesus is the only one who can open our eyes, both physically and spiritually.
.Salvation is about
being able to see. (John 3:3)
“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the
We need our eyes opened up to see Jesus! We need our eyes opened up to see and understand His word! To see His kingdom.
But we also need our eyes opened up to see our vision for our future.
What is your vision? Vision for your life…your family….your ministry…your business?
Do you have a vision? If not you should. It’s been said, “Your Vision is Your Future.”
.What you see is what you’ll live! As it’s been said, “What you see (in your mind) is what you’ll
get”
What’s in your mind? Is it generally positive or negative?
It’s important to pray for vision. It’s important to….
2. Trust Jesus with
our vision
Trust that it is from Him!
.He really is the source of all good things! (James
1:17)
Our vision is a gift from Him.
.If Jesus has given you vision then you should rejoice and
be grateful. Why? Because without vision people perish.
(Prov.29:18
Ampl.) “Where there is no vision [ no redemptive
revelation of God ] the people perish…”
Trust that He’s guiding
us to the right place for our vision.
.Notice....verse 23 says, “Jesus took the blind man by
the hand and led him…”
Jesus is the Good Shepherd. I can trust where He guides and leads. (Ps.23) We all have blind spots and dark seasons but Jesus is leading us by the hand.
We can trust God with our vision. (Psalm 32:8 NKJT) “I will
instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
Jesus is unlike the Scribes and Pharisees who he warned… “Woe
to you, blind guides…” (Math.23:16 NKJT)
But vision always cost
something. It isn’t cheap.
It takes getting alone with Jesus, solitude. It takes separating ourselves from certain activities that take up our time, energy and resources.
.Notice again….Jesus, “…led him out of the village.”
(vs.23)
Why? Was unbelief present in the crowd? Now remember, even
Jesus couldn’t do mighty works where unbelief was present. (Math.13:58 NKJT)
Sometimes people are envious of others that have vision. Sometimes people can hinder your vision. They can cast doubt on the vision Jesus has given you. They can obstruct vision through unbelief.
So we have to fight for vision and fight for it to stay alive by the power of the Holy Spirit.
.You may have vision but it may not be very clear.
(Second half of verse 23) “Then spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his
hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?”
.In other words…what do you see? For your life, marriage, family, ministry, business and for your future?
.Jesus wants to heal the eyes of your mind and heart so you can…..
3. See clearly
.Now read verses 25-26
(NKJT) “Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up.
And he was restored and saw everyone clearly…”
.Clearly vision is a thing a beauty!
.Clear vision motivates, inspires!
.Clear vision cuts through confusion!
.Clear vision can unite, rally, invigorate! Can spark mission and purpose.
.Some of you have lost your vision. You need your vision restored. What do you need to see clearly today? We all have some vision but is your vision clear?
.Jesus can restore our vision so that we can see clearly to see His plans for us and our future!
