Theme: “The Urgency of Being Ready”

Key verse: (1 Peter 3:15 NLT) “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And ifsomeone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

”Prayer: 1st week - Worship Christ as Lord

I. Supreme over all - (Col.1:15 NLT) “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existedbefore anything was created and is supreme over all creation…” (John 1:1, 18, 2 Cor.4:4)

  • Creator of all - (Col.1:16 NLT) “…for through Him God created everything in the heavenlyrealms and on earth…” (Gen.1:1, John 1:3, Hebrews 1:2)

  • Sustainer of all - (Col.1:17 NLT) “He existed before anything else, and He holds all creationtogether.” (John 1:1, 8:58, Hebrews 1:3)

2nd week - Hope as a believer

II.- Hope in God - (Psalm 39:7 NLT) “And now, LORD, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.”(Psalm 71:5, Psalm 43:5, Psalm 33:22)

  • Hope in Christ - (Colossians 1:27 NLT) “To them God willed to make known what are theriches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory”(1 Timothy 1:1, 1Peter 1:13, 1 Thessalonians 1:3, Ephesians 1:18)

  • Hope in His Word- (Psalm 119:147 NLT) “I rise before the dawning of the morning, And I cryfor help; I hope in Your Word.” (Mathew 4:4, Jn.6:68-69, Mathew 8:8, Psalm 107:20)

3rd week - Always be ready

III. Tell others - (Hebrews 10:23 NLT) “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, forhe who promised is faithful.” (Philemon 1:6, Psalm 96:2-4, 2 Timothy 1:7-8, Luke 12:12)

  • Explain it - (Luke 24:27 NLT) “And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded tothem in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.” (Acts 17:1-4, 18:4, Acts 8:35)

  • Be gentle - (1 Peter 3:16 NLT) “…with meekness and fear;” (Col. 3:12, 4:5-6, Phil.4:5)
